- SHRI ANURAG SHARMA HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH DFCCIL FOR MORE THAN A DECADE BEFORE ASSUMING THE NEW ROLE
Noida: In an important development, Shri Anurag Sharma has taken up the charge of the Director/Infrastructure of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) at the new corporate office in Noida. Shri Anurag Sharma has been serving as the Executive Director (ED)/Infrastructure in the DFCCIL and has now assumed the duties of Director/Infrastructure.About Shri Anurag SharmaShri Anurag Sharma started his career as a senior railway officer in 1994 after getting selected in the prestigious Indian Engineering Services (IES). Prior to his joining DFCCIL in 2013, Shri Anurag Sharma served in the Department of Telecommunications/BSNL in various capacities for around 18 years followed by a brief stint in Asian Development Bank Project in Uttaranchal.After joining DFCCIL, Sh. Sharma carried out various challenging tasks in various capacities with utmost success. He managed various major contracts in the Dedicated Freight Corridor project. He has been involved with Western Dedicated Freight Corridor for more than a decade and has successfully handled multiple tasks related to land acquisition, project planning & execution, project completion & closure, and related dispute resolution processes. Shri Anurag Sharma has been instrumental in completion and commissioning of the New Rewari- Madar section of WDFC while serving as Chief General Manager (CGM), Jaipur. He comes with vast exposure to Domestic and International Commercial Arbitrations. He was last posted as ED/Infrastructure at DFCCIL. He is B.Tech in Civil Engineering and MBA in Project Management and has been trained in various aspects of Railway Technologies in Japan, Germany, UK & Austria.
DFCCIL: An undertaking of the Ministry of Railways
DFCCIL is an important undertaking of the Ministry of Railways, Government of India which is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the DFC project. The DFC network is the largest rail infrastructure project in independent India with an objective to increase the efficiency and capacity and reduce the cost of freight transportation in the country. The project has been built with an investment of more than Rs 1.25 lakh crores. The Eastern DFC is 100% operational and the Western DFC is also 93% complete.
