NEW DELHI- As the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Tiranga Yatra moves across the country to express solidarity with soldiers, Goa has played a special and notable role in the campaign. Not limiting itself to mere symbolic rallies, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has organised a special Vedic ritual—Atyati Rudra Anushthan—for the safety and well-being of soldiers.

On the occasion, Minister Rane said, “At such a time, every citizen must unite through karma, sankalp and shraddha, going beyond politics. This ritual is an effort to dedicate spiritual energy to our soldiers.”

The ritual is based on ancient Vedic traditions and involves prominent Vedapathis and spiritual gurus. It is believed to be particularly effective for seeking peace and security, especially when the country is grappling with instability and external threats.

The initiative has gained even more importance after the recently concluded Operation Sindoor. This military action was carried out by the Indian Army in response to active terrorist activities along the Line of Control, in which several terrorist hideouts were destroyed. Despite the success of the operation, some sources, including Pakistan, spread false news on social media that the Adampur airbase had been attacked—which was later debunked by Prime Minister Modi himself by visiting the site.

It is to counter this information warfare and psychological front that the Tiranga Yatra has been initiated—with the aim of not just a display of patriotism but to send a shared message that the country stands with its army in full force. By presenting it as a spiritual and social unity in Goa, the message has become even more powerful: the Tiranga is not just a flag, but a shared resolve—with protection, faith and truth.
