New Delhi- Central Regional Office, Bureau of Indian Standards, organized a One Day Seminar on ‘Overview of Quality Management System and its Implementation” on  04th Sept. 2024, at Hotel Royal Plaza, New Delhi.  The seminar was attended by scientists, research officers, academia from various organizations under Ministry of Ayush and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

The purpose of seminar was to enhance the awareness of the participants and familiarize them with the operation of various BIS Management System Certification Schemes. The focus of program being on IS/ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification and IS/ISO 21001 Educational Organization Management System Certification. 

Smt. Lalthan Pari, Director & MSCO, BIS (CRO), while welcoming the gathering highlighted the objective of the program and pointed out the need to adopt Whole-of-Government Approach to maintain high standards of quality by adhering to internationally recognized standards like IS/ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification. Dr. R. K. Tyagi, Deputy Director General (Central), in his speech  stated how  Management System Certification can position any organization as a leader in quality and innovation essential for the organization’s international presence and urged the participants to be fully engaged in the session and clear their doubts. Dr. Kousthubha Upadhyaya, Advisor (Ayurveda), Ministry of Ayush, Dr. Ram Mohan Singh, Director of PCIM&H, were the dignitaries present at the event.

The seminar was well received with a positive feedback by the attendees regarding the content and organization of the seminar. The seminar had interactive sessions with active participant involvement. During the session multiple doubts from the participants were cleared by the faculty.

Pharmacopeia Commission of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy (PCIM&H) was felicitated during the seminar for implementation of three Management System Certification.

Overall, the seminar achieved its objectives, fostering valuable discussions and knowledge sharing. Top of Form
